Dave Holland and Chris Potter present their brand new quartet called KISMET as a European first in July 2025, joined by fabulous artists on their instruments Kevin Eubanks and Obed Calvaire. Long time colleagues with both diverse music histories and collegial experience in a variety of circumstances, they join forces to present audiences with a new conversation, melting their wide common repertoire to a unique and exceptional concert experience.

This powerhouse ensemble draws from the collective experience of Holland and Eubanks’ iconic work on Extensions and Another Land, alongside Potter’s vital contributions to the celebrated Dave Holland Quintet. Calvaire, known for his versatility and acclaimed work with Wynton Marsalis and the SFJAZZ Collective, brings a dynamic energy and masterful touch to the quartet. Together, Kismet offers a compelling musical journey, combining intricate harmonies, driving grooves, and improvisational depth that celebrates jazz’s storied past while charting an exciting course forward.

Gilmore, one of the most in-demand drummers of his generation and a key voice in projects with Chick Corea and Vijay Iyer, adds his intricate rhythms and boundless creativity to the mix.
