Recently revived and now going by the simplified name of Marc Ribot Y Los Postizos opens the format to incorporate musical influences from across the Americas but with the same Latin based fervor.

DON BYRON NEW GOSPEL QUINTET – Don Byron/clarinet, tenorsaxophone, vocals, D.K.Dyson/vocals, Frank Willkins/ piano, Brad Jones/bass, Pheeron Aklaff/drums This project grows out of Don Byron´s exhaustive study of black gospel music. Gospel pioneer Thomas A. Dorsey is a major inspiration, and Byron revisits some of the master songwriter`s works alongside other classics and new original songs written in the gospel tradition CD to be out on Savoy Records!
